American Health Information Community - AHIC
The US Department of Health Services has a forum for the development of standards for the health information technology community. That includes everyone who works with medical records. In fact, one of our own - Jill Callahan Dennis is on the Confidentiality, Privacy & Security Workgroup
It's important that AHIMA professionals have a voice in this matter and that we all stay informed on the decisions made here - everything that happens here affects us all! Check out the video if you have 4 hours to spend (OK, OK so you don't have that time but you can fast forward thru it!)
